The Alpine Racing Team provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy the recreational and or competitive sport of Skiing.
Team membership provides 1. Affordable travel to regional ski hills and cities 2. Window to learn, excel, or enjoy racing in course 3. Boosted time on the hill this year 4. Physical Education credit [varies with participation]
Team Membership Involvement can be as intense or relaxed as you choose, ranging from tagging along at practice to enjoying Race Weekends all around the Lake Superior region. We are active Year Round. During Spring and Fall we hang out, fundraise, and advertise the team through can drives, barbeques and info sessions. Race Weekends For the actual races, the team leaves on Friday afternoon/night for the race. Friday nights we check into the hotel and sauna/hot tub. We get up early for Saturday’s race and conquer. Saturday afternoons are laid back and then out to spend time with the other Teams for dinner and afterwards. The races on Sunday are also a little more laid back and conclude by heading back to MTU. |
