Michigan Tech’s Alpine Racing Team

The Alpine Racing and Freestyle Team is an organization for anyone who enjoys the hill. The Team offers the chance to travel in the Lake Superior Region to different hills sponsored in part by Michigan Technological University and the Undergraduate Student Government. Races are held from January through February. Members can attend any or all of the competitions held from January through February and any practices. Practice is held on select weekdays during the spring semester and is open to all members; they are not mandatory for participation in competitions. Members are free to select their own level and style of participation.

The Michigan Technological University Alpine Racing Team was established to:

· provide a competitive alpine racing opportunity for MTU students.

· to bring together students with interest in skiing or snowboarding as a competitive sport.

· and to compete in USCSA (United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association) organized alpine downhill races.
